Part-Time Event and Program Assistant
Role: The role of the Part-Time Event and Program Assistant is to assist in the daily operations of our charity.
Pay is based on experience.
Start Date: Mid-March 2024
Job Conditions
- Hours: Up to 15 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday, scheduled in agreement with the President.
- Location: Remote
Scope of Work Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating events and programs: using our templates, spreadsheets, contacts, etc.
- Create and publish posts on social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn)
- Write and publish email newsletters with MailChimp.
- Create and update presentations
- Deliver accurate and high-quality work with minimal supervision
- Exhibit a polite and professional communication manner (email and phone)
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications
- Works well within deadlines
- Strong reporting skills
- Strong writing and formatting skills
- Detail-oriented with good proofreading skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal communication
- Proficient in technology including:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note)
- Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn)
- MailChimp or similar email marketing program
- Dropbox or similar cloud-based collaboration tool
French is an asset
