"Kickstarting your child's learning and communication: strategies for parents"

We are pleased to announce that QuickStart will be holding a free workshop at Southway Hotel (Corner of Hunt Club and Bank Street) from 9am to 5pm.

"Kickstarting your child's learning and communication: strategies for parents"

This workshop will be based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) with the following speakers from Emerging Minds:

Véronique Chiasson Occupational Therapist and Certified ESDM Therapist (one of six in Canada),

Dr. Robin Gaines Speech Language Pathologist, and

Dr. Yolanda Korneluk Psychologist.

This workshop will be interactive with parents learning hands-on strategies during the day.  There will be a question and answer portion of the workshop.

Register by emailing info@quickstartautism.ca  Please include your name, phone number, email, and the child's name and age, in your email to us.

The workshop is open to:

parents and caregivers who have a child on the wait-list for an assessment or who suspect their child is showing signs of autism,

to grandparents, and

to parents/caregivers/grandparents in both Quebec and Ontario. While the workshop is in english, Véronique Chiasson is bilingual.

Refreshments will be served in the morning and afternoon.  You will be required to provide your own lunch.  Southway Hotel has a lovely restaurant, Shallows Grill.

The workshop is limited to 50 persons.
